Founded in 2011 Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services was created to address specific gaps highlighted in the sterile drug product manufacturing marketplace. The aim was to accelerate our clients’ drug development timelines by offering rapid access to sterile fill-finish manufacturing slots and product release services. Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services is a contract manufacturing organisation (CMO) that specialises in the manufacture and sterile fill/finish of vials for clinical trials and low-volume commercial supply. Regulatory compliance, technical capability and operational flexibility are at its core.
Manufacturing takes place in a purpose-built MHRA-licensed and FDA approved facility based in Stirling enabling the CMO to handle products that require aseptic liquid filling and lyophilisation for a range of complex biologics, viral vectors for use in gene therapies and small molecule drugs.
Capabilities include the ability to handle and fill antibodies, proteins, peptides, nucleic acids, cytotoxic, cytostatic and highly potent APIs including ADCs along with conventional small molecules.

Management Accountant
The Management Accountant position is a key position within the organisation and integral to the future success of Symbiosis. This role is best suited to an individual who is happy in a hands-on role and will gain a sense of fulfilment from the real, tangible impact their efforts will have on this company’s operations.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a small team environment where they are given a high degree of responsibility and autonomy to support the success of the company and their colleagues. They will have a strong work ethic and look to grab this opportunity with both hands and be drawn to the opportunity to really make their mark. They will also enjoy helping their colleagues understand the story behind the numbers and working collaboratively to improve the performance of the business.
The successful candidate will have experience or exposure to the manufacturing sector, specifically cost accounting, from industry.
To be successful in this position, they must thrive on challenges and enjoy working in a busy, dynamic environment. A candidate with a problem-solving mindset, who can develop solutions and look to improve systems and processes whilst producing accounts and management reporting.
The role of the Management Accountant will support the organisation in making the best decisions, improving margin, profitability, reducing and managing costs and providing an added value service to all stakeholders both internally and externally.
