Being a Recruitment Consultant is a fabulous career…for the right type of person. The role requires a mix of skills and attributes that used in isolation won’t make you successful but put them together and great things can happen.
You will need to be naturally inquisitive and be genuinely interested in meeting new people to find out more about them and their business. You will be active in growing your professional network and promoting your personal brand. You need to be able to prioritise and manage your time effectively. You will experience high, lows, acceptance and rejection and the ability to remain calm, focussed and level-headed throughout is important. You will also need a natural enthusiasm and energy to make the most of every opportunity.
