Audit Partner/Partner Designate
The Firm currently has 4 RIs as part of a Partner group of 9. Thomson Cooper’s position in the market is allowing them to take advantage of the significant opportunities in the audit sector. Following a sustained period of growth and with an eye to succession planning, Thomson Cooper is looking to recruit an Audit Partner or Partner Designate to be based in Dunfermline or Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of Thomson Cooper’s Audit offering. The ideal candidate will be ACCA or CA (or equivalent) qualified and will most likely currently be with a Top 10/Mid-Tier accountancy firm or a sizeable local independent practice. Candidates from the Big Four will not be ruled out but will need to have experience with owner-managed businesses.
The role will offer a highly completive salary along with a great benefits package including flexible and hybrid working.
Potential candidates will include existing Audit Partners as well as experienced and ambitious Managers and Senior Managers. The expectation is that Managers or Senior Managers would want to pursue RI status.
The successful individual will not only have the required technical expertise and experience, but they will also exhibit behaviours that align with Thomson Cooper’s culture. This includes open communication, a collaborative approach to decision-making, empathy with clients and their people and a willingness to have a high level of employee engagement.
The successful candidate will have experience working with a diverse portfolio of businesses as well as having a strong business development mindset to enable further growth in the East of Scotland.
