The role
This role offers the chance to oversee and develop a varied corporate tax portfolio, delivering compliance and advisory services to clients across diverse sectors. You will manage complex tax cases, lead advisory projects, and mentor junior team members. - Manage corporate tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Liaise with clients to resolve tax queries and explain complex issues.
- Support tax advisory projects including R&D credits, restructurings, and M&A due diligence.
- Oversee work-in-progress and billing for a portfolio.
- Mentor and develop junior staff members.
- Collaborate with internal departments to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
Ideal profile
We are seeking a motivated individual with strong technical skills and a collaborative approach. You should be well-versed in managing a corporate tax portfolio and comfortable advising clients and colleagues alike. Experience in handling a variety of tax matters and leading advisory projects is essential. Candidates with a genuine passion for tax planning and development will thrive here.
- Significant experience managing corporate tax compliance across different industries.
- Proven ability to handle complex tax advisory projects (e.g., EMI schemes, restructuring, R&D claims).
- Experience managing work-in-progress and billing.
- Strong communicator with mentoring skills.
- Proficient in tax software and Excel.
Preferred
- CTA qualification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with UK GAAP/FRS 102 and current tax legislation.
- Exposure to transaction support and M&A due diligence.
- Ability to develop a niche in tax planning areas.
