THE ROLE
This senior management position offers an opportunity to lead complex client projects in private client tax advisory. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering strategic advice and building lasting client relationships. As part of the management team, you will oversee team performance, support business development, and promote the firm’s reputation as a trusted technical expert. Your responsibilities include reviewing and signing off on high-value tax returns, providing high-level tax advice, and continuously developing your technical expertise to maintain a market-leading service.

  • Lead and manage client projects involving inheritance tax, trusts, estates, succession planning, and shareholder transactions
  • Manage internal team operations and support strategic objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and support revenue growth
  • Liaise with external advisors to ensure high-quality, technically accurate advice
  • Share technical knowledge to promote team development and broader service lines

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are a qualified tax professional with a strong background in private client advisory and team management. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to share your technical expertise, helping clients and colleagues alike.

Mandatory

  • Hold a relevant professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, CA, STEP, ATT)
  • Demonstrate at least 7 years’ experience in private client tax advisory or similar roles
  • Have experience managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be proficient with tax software and capable of independent technical research (e.g., Tolleys)
  • Possess knowledge of UK tax laws and familiarity with Irish capital taxes (desirable)

Preferred

  • Experience advising on cross-border tax issues between the UK and Ireland
  • Proven track record of developing new business and maintaining trusted client relationships
  • Strong communication skills, able to present complex advice confidently to clients and internal teams
