THE ROLE
As a Group FP&A Analyst, you will be integral to the company’s financial planning and management reporting. Supporting the wider FP&A team, you will assist with budgeting, forecasting, consolidating regional data, and analysing ledger information. Your insights will shape strategic decision-making and operational planning. The position offers a blend of technical financial modelling and stakeholder engagement, working within a collaborative team. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and managing the group-wide budgeting and forecasting cycle
  • Consolidating regional inputs into high-level reports for senior management
  • Maintaining advanced Excel-based financial forecast models using PowerQuery, XLOOKUP, and PivotTables
  • Analyzing ledger data for variances, risks, and opportunities
  • Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects support
  • Acting as a key contact for forecast and budget-related queries
  • Assisting with long-term planning and funding analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and supporting monthly closes and audits

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
A successful candidate will bring a solid mix of technical and financial skills, ideally complemented by a proactive approach and strong communication. They will thrive in a demanding environment and be eager to support strategic growth.

Mandatory:

  • 3+ years’ experience in FP&A, management accounting, or financial analysis with proven forecasting and budgeting expertise
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong Excel skills, particularly PowerQuery, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data modelling
  • Experience building, maintaining, and improving complex Excel forecast models
  • Ability to interpret large ledger datasets and perform variance analysis
  • Good stakeholder management and reporting abilities
  • Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, or FRS 102 standards

Preferred:

  • Experience with Power BI and QlikSense reporting tools
  • Familiarity with planning systems like Anaplan
  • Exposure to automation (VBA, Python, R) or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Financial systems implementation knowledge within regulated environments
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and system automation

The role offers a competitive salary package, with an annual range of £60,000 to £80,000, depending on experience.
