M&A Manager

The role

As an M&A Manager, you will take a leading role in managing and delivering high-quality merger and acquisition advisory services. You’ll support clients through deal origination, execution, and post-deal integration, focusing mainly on mid-market businesses with enterprise values up to £50m. Your expertise will help shape strategic growth plans, facilitate transactions, and build strong client relationships.

  • Lead M&A transactions from initial research through to completion, including disposals, acquisitions, and buyouts.
  • Develop financial models, business plans, and valuation analysis to support transactional decisions.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and manage stakeholder negotiations.
  • Identify new deal opportunities through market research and client outreach.
  • Present strategic recommendations confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and regulatory compliance to ensure smooth delivery.


The ideal candidate

  • Qualified ACA, CA, ACCA, or CPA.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in lead advisory M&A roles within professional services or corporate finance.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end M&A transactions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with UK GAAP and IFRS financial standards.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of automation and finance data systems like SAP, Oracle, or Netsuite.
  • Exposure to business transformation or post-merger integration.
  • Background working with private equity or venture capital clients.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and develop new business initiatives.
