Overview of the role
As a Senior Manager in the corporate tax advisory team, you will oversee significant UK and international tax engagements. Your role involves delivering strategic solutions, building strong client relationships, and leading a talented tax team. You will act as a trusted advisor on high-profile transactions and contribute to thought leadership within the firm.
- Lead complex tax advisory projects for multinational clients
- Manage stakeholder relationships and provide strategic tax guidance
- Oversee tax compliance, structuring, and reporting activities
- Stay current with evolving tax laws and legislative changes
- Mentor junior team members and support their development
The ideal candidate
You bring a strong background in UK and international corporate tax advisory, backed by relevant qualifications and experience with managing multiple client projects. Your ability to navigate complex tax issues and lead teams makes you a natural leader in this space.
- Minimum 6+ years in UK and international tax advisory, including tax reporting or accounting exposure
- Relevant tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, PQ/QBE)
- Proven experience managing multiple client engagements and stakeholder relationships
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and UK tax legislation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proficiency with tax technology tools and advanced MS Excel skills
- Expertise in international structuring, treasury, or operating models
- Experience with cross-border transactions and international tax issues
- Familiarity with tax technology like Corptax or TaxPoint
- Knowledge of emerging tax legislation and legislative changes
- Experience with business transformation or shared service centre tax processes
- Skills in data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
