Project Payroll Advisor

About this Role

Are you someone who enjoys working with people, processes, and technology — and loves finding ways to make things work better? We’re looking for a Project Payroll Advisor to join a friendly, forward-thinking team and play a key part in an exciting payroll transformation project.

This is a great opportunity to help shape how this tech-enabled accountancy practice delivers payroll services in the future, working alongside supportive colleagues in a business that embraces innovation and collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping to upgrade and implement new payroll systems – testing, troubleshooting, and making sure everything runs smoothly.

  • Supporting the safe and accurate transfer of payroll data from old systems to new ones.

  • Spotting opportunities to improve and simplify how things are done, making payroll processes more efficient.

  • Working closely with project managers and teams across the business to hit key milestones.

  • Getting involved in projects that improve the experience for our clients and internal teams.

  • Keeping clear records and documentation as systems and processes evolve.

  • Providing training and guidance to colleagues on new systems and ways of working.

  • Offering hands-on support to the payroll delivery team when needed.

  • Helping review and redesign payroll processes to make sure they’re efficient, compliant, and ready for growth.

About You

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you’re:

  • Experienced in payroll operations or have been involved in payroll projects.

  • Comfortable with payroll systems and curious about how technology can make work easier.

  • Detail-oriented and organised, with a focus on accuracy.

  • A team player who enjoys collaborating and sharing ideas.

  • Confident communicating with people across different teams and levels.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and excited about contributing to positive change.

Why You’ll Love Working for this organisation

  • Be part of a friendly, supportive team where your ideas are valued.

  • Get involved in exciting change projects that make a real difference.

  • Enjoy a flexible, hybrid working setup that fits around you.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and develop your career within a modern, tech-driven accountancy practice
