THE ROLE
As a Client Portfolio Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising a compliance portfolio. This is a hands-on position with responsibility for ensuring timely, accurate statutory accounts production, fostering client relationships, and driving improvements in operational processes.
- Manage day-to-day compliance operations to meet client SLAs with accuracy and consistency.
- Sign off on low-risk statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and FRS 102 standards.
- Oversee workflow, resource allocation, and capacity planning to improve efficiency.
- Act as the primary point for resolving technical accounting queries and quality concerns.
- Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, strengthening their expertise.
- Collaborate with tax and client service teams to deliver integrated financial solutions.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with expertise in statutory accounts, financial controls, and team management. Strong technical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and a passion for driving efficiencies are essential.
Mandatory
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
- Proven expertise in statutory accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and FRS 102.
- Experience managing compliance or accounts teams within a professional services setting.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee workflow, capacity planning, and process optimisation.
- Skilled in team coaching, mentoring, and development.
- Experience dealing with technical accounting queries and ensuring quality outputs.
Preferred
- Experience with technology-driven process improvements.
- Understanding of integrated tax and financial strategies.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth within compliance portfolios.
- Strong client relationship management skills with a consultative approach.
- Exposure to managing higher-risk or complex compliance matters.
