THE ORGANISATION

Our client is an ambitious and rapidly growing business operating within the renewable energy sector. Having recently secured significant investment, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of expansion and is seeking a Finance Manager to support the business through its next stage of growth.

THE ROLE

The Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day finance function while supporting commercial and operational decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day finance operations, including purchase invoice processing and payment runs.
  • Ensuring supplier payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Preparing and maintaining rolling cashflow forecasts.
  • Supporting budgeting and financial planning activities.
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and financial analysis.
  • Developing and improving finance processes, controls and procedures as the business continues to grow.
  • Managing employee expenses, company card administration and related finance activities.
  • Providing financial and operational support to senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required.
  • Ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and reliable to support business decision-making.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager or similar senior finance position.
  • Strong experience in cashflow forecasting and budgeting.
  • Comfortable managing both transactional and management finance responsibilities.
  • Experience working within a growing, fast-paced or entrepreneurial business environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proactive, adaptable and hands-on approach to problem solving.

Desirable:

  • Professional accounting qualification or studying towards qualification.
  • Experience supporting finance process improvements and systems development.
  • Previous experience within a high-growth business environment.
  • Exposure to the renewable energy, infrastructure or wider commercial sectors.
