Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support and mentorship to a newly appointed Finance Manager as they transition into the sector.

Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure the organisation is audit-ready.

Review and enhance financial systems and processes, with a focus on automation and improved reporting.

Work closely with auditors and internal stakeholders to streamline financial operations.

Lay the foundations for a more robust, future-ready finance function.
This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, combining strong technical ability with a people-first approach.
About You
You’ll bring:

A full accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent).

Proven experience in the housing association or social housing sector.

Strong skills in statutory accounts, audits, and Excel (including macros).

A collaborative, mentoring style and a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset.

The ability to work independently and communicate confidently with diverse stakeholders.
What’s on Offer

Contract: 6-month interim role, with strong potential for extension.

Working Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week); a condensed 4-day week will also be considered.

Hybrid Working: Minimum of 2 days a week in-office; remote working available on other days, including Fridays (when the office is closed).
