The role
As an Audit Senior Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of high-value audit engagements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS. You'll lead audit planning, execution, and review processes, while mentoring junior team members and managing client relationships. The role offers significant autonomy, allowing you to make impactful decisions and lead audits from planning through to completion.
- Manage a diverse range of audit clients, overseeing all phases from planning to delivery.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, and VAT reports.
- Ensure audits meet UK regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Lead, motivate, and develop audit teams, nurturing their professional growth.
- Build strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for additional support and services.
- Support the continuous improvement of workflows and adoption of digital solutions like Power BI and CCH.
The ideal candidate
You will be a proven leader with a strong background in practice audit, ready to step into a senior leadership role with the ambition to progress to partner.
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing audit teams and portfolios.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS (IFRS 9, 15, 16) and UK GAAP standards.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency with audit systems such as CaseWare and data analytics tools like Excel and Power BI.
- Good understanding of UK tax laws, VAT, and corporate governance.
- Exposure to digital transformation or process automation projects.
- Experience working with international or multi-industry audits.
