While utilising their ERP system, the team is responsible for effectively managing and planning the organisations financial resources, identification of sustainable funding streams, as well as accurate and timely financial statutory and management reporting.
The Role
The role of Financial Controller will report into and support a newly appointed Finance Director, This role and the finance team will be required to adapt and react to the changing climates where this organisation operates, both domestically and abroad over the coming years.

The Role

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:
- Lead on statutory and regulatory financial reporting, ensuring compliance with sector-specific requirements and wider financial standards
- Manage the production of high-quality management information, financial statements, and internal controls, supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
- Lead and develop a team of expert accountants in reporting, budgeting, systems and control.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and automation across financial operations.
- Represent the business externally with key stakeholders including auditors, regulatory bodies, and sector networks
To be considered for the role you must:
- Be a qualified Accountant, CCAB or similar – Essential
- Have strong technical skills in relation to budget management and current accounting regulations
- Prove capability of leading and developing finance teams
- Have good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be able to analyse complex data to inform decision making
- Good knowledge and experience of using accountancy software systems
- Have good ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Have strong communication, organisational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
