Financial Accountant

iMultiply are supporting a well-established and growing organisation based in East Lothian to recruit a full-time Financial/Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a collaborative and mission-driven finance team.

The Role

This role sits within a close-knit and supportive finance function and will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day financial operations and help drive improvements in processes and reporting.

As the Financial/Management Accountant, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

• Assist in producing the 'recurring deliverables’ in line with the monthly/annual timetable including monthly management accounts and commentary, forecasts, cash-flows, annual budgets and statutory accounts
• Financial reporting, reporting organisational performance against budget, attending meetings to discuss performance, supporting teams with financial information requirements
• Take the lead in group reporting requirements ensuring deadlines are met and building positive relationships with colleagues
• Work with the team to produce the annual audit information
• Transaction and cost analysis
• Provide cover for payroll timesheet submission
• Dealing with daily transactional finance duties
• Assist with annual audit pack preparation
• Other ad-hoc activities including line management

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:

• Part-qualified or QBE
• Experience in management accounts, financial reporting, and interpretation of financial data
• Experience of working with auditors
• Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to use own initiative
• Accuracy and can-do attitude
• Strong communication skills at all levels
• Time management and the ability to manage own workload
• Willingness to embrace integrated model and new ways of working
