THE ROLE
You’ll be the Finance Manager overseeing all core financial activities, guiding a small team, and delivering robust reporting and insights to drive decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in financial management and process improvements.
- Lead month-end close and prepare financial reports under IFRS or UK GAAP.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing and statutory compliance.
- Produce statutory accounts and manage external audits.
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Act as a business partner to sales, operations, and technical teams.
- Supervise and mentor two accounts assistants, with potential for team expansion.
- Optimise finance systems and workflows, ensuring efficiency post-acquisition.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
This role is ideal for a motivated finance professional who enjoys a mix of technical work and stakeholder engagement. You’ll need leadership skills combined with strong technical expertise.
Mandatory
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA fully qualified.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting standards.
- Experience in month-end tasks, payroll, and statutory accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in Glasgow or London 2 days per week initially.
Preferred
- Experience in Big Four or Top 10 audit backgrounds.
- Exposure to SME or technology industry finance practices.
- Proficiency in Power BI or Power Query.
- Hands-on experience in transactional finance or payroll oversight.
- Knowledge of group-level finance post-acquisition.

- £55,000–£60,000 per annum salary, depending on experience.
