The Role

We’re seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. Your main focus will be managing a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure payments are received on time, disputes are resolved efficiently, and relationships are maintained with key clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing finance operation within a rapidly evolving business. The role demands strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work towards targets in a fast-paced setting.
 

  • Manage and collect outstanding debts from a defined customer portfolio
  • Maintain accurate debtor records and reconcile accounts regularly
  • Negotiate repayment plans and resolve invoice disputes
  • Produce and analyse debtor reports for management
  • Liaise with internal teams and external customers to facilitate cash flow
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls
  • Support process improvements within Credit Control and cross-functional projects
 

The Ideal Candidate

We welcome candidates who thrive in busy environments and enjoy problem-solving. The right person is someone eager to develop their skills in credit management and finance. Experience in customer support, payments, or invoice processing is desirable, particularly if looking for a stepping stone into credit control.

Mandatory:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in customer service, payments, or financial role
  • Basic understanding of credit control processes and systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under targets and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data input and reconciliation

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of finance systems and ERP software
  • Basic understanding of credit risk and collection strategies
  • Qualifications in credit management or finance certifications
  • Experience with reconciliation tools or reporting software
  • Confidence in negotiating payment arrangements with clients
