About this Role
We are partnering with a growing practice in Leeds. The Audit team is expanding and seeking a Qualified Audit Senior to support their diverse and dynamic client base. This is a key role within a department set for continued growth, offering you the chance to take ownership of your workload, manage varied engagements, and deepen your expertise across a range of sectors which includes charities, owner‑managed businesses, and FCA‑regulated entities.
Role overview
You will focus on delivering high‑quality audits from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and partners while maintaining strong client relationships. This role involves leading fieldwork, managing junior team members on assignments and handling more complex audit areas, making it ideal for an individual who enjoys autonomy, responsibility and direct client interaction.

Role overview

Key responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring all work is delivered to quality standards and within agreed timeframes.
- Liaise with senior individuals in clients’ finance teams, supporting them through the audit process and addressing technical queries.
- Review work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Prepare audit files, draft reports and highlight key findings to managers and partners.
- Monitor budgets, manage workflow across multiple assignments and flag potential overruns.
- Support ad hoc projects, including advisory work, internal working groups and department‑wide initiatives.
- ACA / ACCA qualified.
- Strong audit experience, including planning, fieldwork and completion.
- Technically confident with up‑to‑date knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
- Clear, confident communicator with strong stakeholder‑management skills.
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple assignments.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
