Management Accountant

About this Role

iMultiply are supporting a well-established and values-led organisation based in Scottish Borders, to recruit a full-time Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a collaborative and purpose-driven finance team.

The Role

This role sits within a close-knit and supportive finance function and will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day financial operations and help drive improvements in processes and reporting.

As the Management Accountant, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
 

  • Assist in producing the ‘recurring deliverables’ in line with the monthly/annual timetable including monthly management accounts and commentary, forecasts, cash-flows, annual budgets and statutory accounts
  • Financial reporting, reporting the business performance against budget, attending meetings to discuss performance, supporting the business with financial information requirements
  • Finalise Engineering Debt Recovery reporting on a regular basis ensuring that stakeholders have the most up to date information, liaising with various departments
  • Take the lead in group reporting requirements ensuring deadlines are met and building positive relationships with colleagues
  • Work with the team to produce the annual audit information
  • Transaction and cost analysis
  • Provide cover for payroll timesheet submission
  • Assist with annual audit pack preparation
  • Other ad-hoc activities including line management

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:
 
  • Part-qualified and willingness to complete CIMA/ACCA
  • Experience in management accounts, financial reporting, and interpretation of financial data
  • Experience of working with auditors
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Accuracy and can-do attitude
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Time management and the ability to manage own workload
  • Willingness to embrace integrated model and new ways of working
