Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

About this Role

Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Aberdeen

A leading professional services firm with a global footprint is looking for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing Aberdeen team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a tax professional who’s ready to take the next step in their career — someone who enjoys building client relationships, tackling technical challenges, and being part of a forward-thinking, supportive environment.

The firm is proud of its people-first culture. It combines the reach of an international network with the feel of a close-knit team where every voice is heard, and every idea counts. This role is perfect for someone who wants their work to be meaningful — for their clients, their team, and their own development.

What the Role Looks Like

The Assistant Manager will be a key player in the firm’s corporate tax offering across the central belt, supporting a varied client base that includes owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies, and large corporate groups.

Day to day, they’ll:

  • Take ownership of a client portfolio, becoming the go-to contact for corporate tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Get involved in a range of interesting projects, from tax structuring and transactions to audit of tax and group reporting.
  • Work closely with partners, directors, and other service lines to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Support, mentor, and review the work of junior team members, helping them grow and succeed.
  • Contribute to business development and help strengthen the firm’s presence in the local market.

What They’re Looking For

This role would suit someone who is:

  • Professionally qualified (CA, ATT, CTA or equivalent) with experience in corporate tax.
  • Comfortable managing their own client workload and reviewing work prepared by others.
  • Curious, collaborative, and confident working directly with clients and internal teams.
  • Up to date with UK corporate tax rules and aware of international tax concepts.
  • Eager to grow — whether that’s developing new skills, mentoring others, or helping to shape the future of the team.

Why This Firm?

  • People-first culture where individuality is celebrated, and work-life balance is respected.
  • Flexible working options, including reduced hours, hybrid working, and supportive leave policies.
  • Tailored development with access to coaching, learning programmes, and internal progression pathways.
  • A competitive reward package including pension, private medical, life assurance, and more.
  • A genuinely collaborative and values-led environment where doing the right thing matters.

This is more than just a job in corporate tax — it’s a chance to build something, contribute meaningfully, and grow in a firm that supports the journey.

If you like the look of this vacancy and think you could perform the role, but, you don't think you meet all the requirements, please DO APPLY for this opportunity. Data shows that certain groups, mainly women and people from BIPOC communities, are less likely to apply for jobs where they don't meet 100% of role. iMultiply would encourage you to apply for roles where there is room for development and growth.
