Driving through pouring rain to buy a stamp, he suddenly wondered, if an email can cross the world in less time than queuing for a stamp, why do it? Stamp Free offers two products to customers – Digicode and Easycode. Digicode is a convenient way for consumers and businesses to buy postage using a phone/tablet and an app without the bother and cost of stamps. Pre-printed dumb barcodes make it easy to assign correct postage. Easycode is a label-free, eco-friendly returns system for e-tailers and carriers. No need to write an address. No more returns labels in every package you send. No more stamps or printing labels at home.

Financial Controller
Stamp Free have so far been operating with a part-time Finance Director. This individual has decided to take up a new opportunity in Spring 2023 and CEO and Board have decided to take this opportunity to adopt a change of structure in the finance team.
Going forward, there will be a Portfolio FD whose role it will be to face off to investors, to assist in the next funding round (likely to be a Series A raise), to support the Board with strategic advice and to develop and support the Financial Controller.
The Financial Controller will come in and look after the day-to-day running of the finance function, produce insightful and useful management information, be responsible for cashflow management and prepare quarterly board packs and investor decks.
The Financial Controller will also keep the 5-year projections updated and provided value-add commentary to CEO and the Board.
The Financial Controller position is a role best suited to an individual who has a proven track record and is driven to succeed. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills and be able to demonstrate initiative and a can-do approach to all aspects of the role. To be successful in this position, you must enjoy working in a busy, dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will be willing to carry out daily processing (in Xero) and at the same time have a commercial & strategic view. The role of the Financial Controller is to support the business in making financial decisions and provide the Board and Investors with insightful and impactful management information.
The preferred candidate would be a qualified accountant or have post qualification experience with exposure to core accounting and management reporting and want to take on a varied role where you can have a real impact within a small team.
